Level 2

In this short, fantasy story, a sorcerer in training finds her powers advanced to the next level and in sudden need of re-learning. The simple magic she has hereto relied on no longer operates, and this new magic employs fundamentally different methods.

All magic is meant to capture the emotions of life, and this story does so just as well as I had hoped it might. We have all experienced the transition from the familiar to the novel, the need to redefine ourselves, the hopes and fears that accompany it; in fact, I have written on the subject. This story is no exception and thus may not be exceptional, but I find it endearing, and I enjoyed writing it.
