Eternal Magic

Peace flies so quickly. A boy tends to his magical well. By it, he has managed to transform the peoples of two warring cities into fields of unfading wildflowers. However, the magic only lasts so long, and when the well eventually fails the war will begin again. Countless will die before he can cast the spell again. However, this spell has lasted far longer than the last, and the boy spends his days in tinkering and theorizing, ever hoping to find a way to make the next spell eternal.
