Familiar

I am not sure I like this story. In a world where wizards keep company with beings from another reality, the source of their advancement in magic, they must repeatedly deal with the loss of those beings. Familiars don’t live very long. In “Familiar”, a boy must accept the death of his familiar as his brother consoles him.
